Recently observed rotational bands were described with deformed intrinsic states which are dominated by excited configurations such as 4p-4h, 8p-8h and 4p-8h states. The results showed the coexistence of various kinds of exotic shapes with oblate, prolate and large prolate deformatios in the low-energy region of Ca-40.
