Using the dephasing nature of quantum chaos, we map the problem to a stochastic model with a known phase diagram. A linear light cone results for $\\alpha \\ge d+1/2$. We also provide a L\\'evy flight (long-range random walk) interpretation of the results and show consistent numerical data for 1d long-range spin models with 200 sites.","authors_text":"Andrew Guo, Brian Swingle, Shenglong Xu, Tianci Zhou, Xiao Chen","cross_cats":["physics.atom-ph","quant-ph"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cond-mat.stat-mech","submitted_at":"2019-09-18T18:04:16Z","title":"The operator L\\'evy flight: light cones in chaotic long-range interacting systems"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"1909.08646","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:996da130fffc071548f3433cbc731831e6b4a8ca942ea44f618ad09fa08aeae0","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T01:16:31Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"4758cb83484bdfa9b337674bc0279f664cc33e2a946b256e4d92e539f9c59bf2","cross_cats_sorted":["physics.atom-ph","quant-ph"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cond-mat.stat-mech","submitted_at":"2019-09-18T18:04:16Z","title_canon_sha256":"9a511e51f07be57c066bc0b633fb6f48b995d9ccf7289e1fae438fa19762d24b"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"1909.08646","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"d4e2278ba170b120625221bfb9d951c54dfb9d7bf8ad96119f0370abdbd65db0","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"d4e2278ba170b120625221bfb9d951c54dfb9d7bf8ad96119f0370abdbd65db0","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T01:16:31.448822Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T01:16:31.448822Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"+PeTs825vn00VRjEJozCeeduPHYXe5dBe92T/F6uGBXKdxIA9AraLLdJI/aVAfDax0ZjEJvaII2Jpf+0s53oDg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T01:16:31.449236Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"1909.08646","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:996da130fffc071548f3433cbc731831e6b4a8ca942ea44f618ad09fa08aeae0","sha256:b2890f0bb350a16570326f3b390e3f52f3a6c02b6f90dd1ecfe0a633198a5285"],"state_sha256":"ae985e01a59aaafb3f50cad8cd950156a045c8fb3265c2b73df064244b572289"}
