We provide a complete description of the set of all operators which can be obtained from a given self-adjoint Laplacian by perturbing it by magnetic fields. In particular, it is shown that generically this set is isomorphic to a torus. We also describe the conditions under which the operator is unambiguously (up to unitary equivalence) defined by prescribing the magnetic fluxes through all loops of the graph.","authors_text":"Robert Schrader, Vadim Kostrykin","cross_cats":["math.MP"],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"math-ph","submitted_at":"2002-11-30T22:29:55Z","title":"Quantum wires with magnetic fluxes"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"math-ph/0212001","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:ce802ddcc79c1140d60370b3f46cf0e185853408fe3b5c7e8b79c2cf6be0e52c","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-04T14:33:45Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"66c224b44acfca4c49cd18cf76a92294ffc84fc879b1954c49f7266a36dcc953","cross_cats_sorted":["math.MP"],"license":"","primary_cat":"math-ph","submitted_at":"2002-11-30T22:29:55Z","title_canon_sha256":"cfc0378266068c6c6350465834c73e8d3774328fb049631f1bfde8c8c1a4e47c"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"math-ph/0212001","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"d828c2cf075e60cc98c5f3b239f8521ffce943e667785ae0598d9c056d5b947c","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"d828c2cf075e60cc98c5f3b239f8521ffce943e667785ae0598d9c056d5b947c","first_computed_at":"2026-07-04T14:33:45.759007Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-04T14:33:45.759007Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"C23+7wYLXvZakDwgVPlCNpAIzoHVClkwULbiMP0hBLhLYVbtOysTauFwxumkzNyqo6XD6SG9+tiaRtGVFR4jAQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-04T14:33:45.759442Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"math-ph/0212001","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:ce802ddcc79c1140d60370b3f46cf0e185853408fe3b5c7e8b79c2cf6be0e52c","sha256:260efb3986d09a6765078cca5a3c4e7d9d8aec71b570f0e7f314b564d0c63a5c"],"state_sha256":"70b8bc4f5da6d3cf150de8dc335a4197c13c74027bfa9090a6bbd23e1646e6df"}
