We study in detail the holographic dual of a non-conformal supersymmetric impurity in the D1/D5 CFT. Its RG flow bears similarities to the Kondo model, although unlike the Kondo model the CFT is strongly coupled in the holographic regime. The interface we study preserves $d = 1$ $\\mathcal{N} = 4$ supersymmetry and flows to conformal fixed points in both the UV and IR. The interface's UV fixed point is described by $d = 1$ fermionic degrees of freedom, cou","authors_text":"Charles Melby-Thompson, Christian Northe, Johanna Erdmenger","cross_cats":["cond-mat.str-el"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"hep-th","submitted_at":"2020-01-14T19:00:02Z","title":"Holographic RG Flows for Kondo-like Impurities"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2001.04991","kind":"arxiv","version":4},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:bdee8bb983735968d7474590bc015c29369c7e0fba2eabf80273f49d8dc7eada","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T01:12:34Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"ffd5715769051b2743279af168931beab561bf21920694a477a90c62c16d7b90","cross_cats_sorted":["cond-mat.str-el"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"hep-th","submitted_at":"2020-01-14T19:00:02Z","title_canon_sha256":"cb999a00bd3b0aef92ad5171143dfa0ecbad83bd5e0fe40da5f2d675df5d15f1"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2001.04991","kind":"arxiv","version":4}},"canonical_sha256":"db0b918db0d1e736f33ec17140810cfd3cf9770f73f482f8bf352b3ba63a988b","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"db0b918db0d1e736f33ec17140810cfd3cf9770f73f482f8bf352b3ba63a988b","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T01:12:34.233624Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T01:12:34.233624Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"HKqtY7WturTcee58UsaRdEDhgT1q8hXvyAt3fCtvtkKqTR+5Gs9H3KJ0mg49W8n3oLsjllonWJ87TKMMotd6AA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T01:12:34.234090Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2001.04991","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":4}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:bdee8bb983735968d7474590bc015c29369c7e0fba2eabf80273f49d8dc7eada","sha256:f73a01dc7030155d96eb348d18a4b52c07d0c6b14654620d696d671206f7c79c"],"state_sha256":"ea35077528bb3a3def6fe33e24536648e81958c132805bbf390c49d7aa701037"}
