In order to explain this unusual behavior we performed density-functional theory calculations of the atomic and electronic structure, the vibrational properties, and the electronic susceptibility of those surfaces. Our work provides evidence for hydrogen adsorption induced Fermi-{}surface nesting. The respective nesting vectors are in excellent agreement with the HAS data and recent angle resolved photoemission experiments of the H-covered alloy system","authors_text":"Bernd Kohler, Matthias Scheffler (FHI Berlin), Paolo Ruggerone","cross_cats":["cond-mat.mtrl-sci"],"headline":"","license":"","primary_cat":"mtrl-th","submitted_at":"1996-05-08T12:43:02Z","title":"Anomalies in He atom scattering spectra of the H-covered Mo(110) and W(110) surfaces"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"mtrl-th/9605002","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:a94f388e11a592d778337879e92e78285ee9f431c147a1d45fb7ee40de73145a","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-04T16:02:28Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"89ba5e8be76b373436e7282400aaef19ce304423e6780c5a7c1077a7c5efd2e2","cross_cats_sorted":["cond-mat.mtrl-sci"],"license":"","primary_cat":"mtrl-th","submitted_at":"1996-05-08T12:43:02Z","title_canon_sha256":"ec2846c798cefb0d36655da46df093c055b5b230d9e414627658e49a3e330712"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"mtrl-th/9605002","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"e393bf076b631c9596e812b22a0c9473cc2faa8b87d34653965f6abc152046c0","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"e393bf076b631c9596e812b22a0c9473cc2faa8b87d34653965f6abc152046c0","first_computed_at":"2026-07-04T16:02:28.637586Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-04T16:02:28.637586Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"1bPsaC/mw+fso72FrpfZOSLcWyPVgocE4pa3gRvH8qsA+/zVmV2BEqZD9guqI7QbH5nBRFd8PQKVehbBvyI3Ag==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-04T16:02:28.637953Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"mtrl-th/9605002","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:a94f388e11a592d778337879e92e78285ee9f431c147a1d45fb7ee40de73145a","sha256:d69208c0ea3eb9aed503766c3e008cf0bf3f2b0c0ec49c3dbaca9c2bce3575f1"],"state_sha256":"f54fbbc9a3f46a06445df487836374fd969dbfd47b301f95e045a8ba264e4fee"}
