Elastic heavy-quark scattering in the QGP is evaluated within a thermodynamic $T$-matrix approach, generating resonances close to the critical temperature which are utilized for recombination into $D$ and $B$ mesons, followed by hadronic diffusion using effective hadronic scattering amplitudes.
