We then give the main idea of a standard QFT method, called the intermediate field method, and we review how to apply this method to a combinatorial QFT reformulation of the celebrated Jacobian conjecture on the invertibility of polynomial systems. This approach establishes a related theorem concerning partial elimination of variables that implies a reduction of the generic case to the quadratic one. Note that this does not imply solving the Jacobian conjecture, because one needs to introduce a ","authors_text":"Adrian Tanasa","cross_cats":["hep-th","math-ph","math.MP"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2020-02-18T09:45:47Z","title":"Combinatorial quantum field theory and the Jacobian conjecture"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2002.07453","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:6e21a348c828511a8504652d6c12bf2f17600fe89ffc779b75be8e26cc92c79e","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T00:42:02Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"57c47831dd3aaaeaf03d2b28960e2b7fc718e1376cbc14d8befb853f66f25d33","cross_cats_sorted":["hep-th","math-ph","math.MP"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2020-02-18T09:45:47Z","title_canon_sha256":"e8f7e1e6c47409e2bd4e364d7608a8275c652d38a03ef67f8ee9d4c7130714d3"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2002.07453","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"e40e570977a59c1d93802a2e4b0c51351e7bf18d2f699c590f524bfc7d2088f4","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"e40e570977a59c1d93802a2e4b0c51351e7bf18d2f699c590f524bfc7d2088f4","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T00:42:02.237783Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T00:42:02.237783Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"jTlUvVhS80QkZnLP9zh/HUF2a37q0USGM3PbIdoBIbjrDBCBetMy7UzJpxV92MIXnc1Ai0gLsKZO61A2mZP1Bg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T00:42:02.238213Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2002.07453","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:6e21a348c828511a8504652d6c12bf2f17600fe89ffc779b75be8e26cc92c79e","sha256:705d7e911109c2907e7acce1580653c0acf44c5c68fba5d7f35420b390918feb"],"state_sha256":"7c0310d4120aba5d31e1bef4c6c8c02035de6c7c82ac0446edc6d532be83c0c9"}
