Two perturbative nonadiabatic dynamics schemes are compared: $(i)$ electronic friction (EF) and $(ii)$ classical master equations (CME). In addition, we also study a third approach, $(iii)$ a broadened classical master equation (BCME) that interpolates between approaches $(i)$ and $(ii)$. Two conclusions emerge.
