Recent efforts are unveiling a surprisingly simple answer. Here we show that two characteristic limits of quantum theory, the maximum violations of Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt and Klyachko-Can-Binicio\\u{g}lu-Shumovsky inequalities, are enforced by a simple principle.
