As a generalization of these poly-Bernoulli numbers, we introduce Schur type poly-Bernoulli numbers and investigate their properties. First, we define a generalization of Arakawa-Kaneko multiple zeta functions and obtain their expression in terms of Schur type Bernoulli numbers.
