By using the spectra of more than 5000 QSOs from the SDSS we find no evidence for any metallicity evolution in the redshift range 2<z<4.5, while there is a significant luminosity-metallicity dependence. These results are confirmed by the spectra of a smaller sample of narrow line AGNs at high-z (QSO2s and radio galaxies).
