This leads to non-equilibrium growth conditions and dramatically shortens the lifetime of expensive Pt crucibles. Here, we report the growth of Sr2IrO4, Sr3Ir2O7 and SrIrO3 single crystals in a reproducible way by using anhydrous SrCl2 flux well below its boiling point. We show that the yield of the different phases strongly depends on the nutrient/solvent ratio for fixed soak temperature and cooling rate. Using this low-temperature growth approach generally leads to a lower temper","authors_text":"Andrey Maljuk, Bernd B\\\"uchner, Gizem Aslan-Cansever, Kaustuv Manna, Sabine Wurmehl, Silvia Seiro","cross_cats":[],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cond-mat.mtrl-sci","submitted_at":"2020-04-07T19:16:02Z","title":"Flux growth of Sr(n+1)Ir(n)O(3n+1) [n=1, 2, infinity] crystals"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2004.03654","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:c49312d6233f35cfd6063c085f260504328da49f70460f6716ee7e293a3d6471","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T00:56:04Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"adc22b266ec70987ff70803d1f9afc79e8cb2769d7ae1dd114fd529d43013785","cross_cats_sorted":[],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cond-mat.mtrl-sci","submitted_at":"2020-04-07T19:16:02Z","title_canon_sha256":"11e27fd230c7915bd8fa4d732b0bd2375c9006d0952dc145094d114244a9866f"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2004.03654","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"f22cecd665999b746dc9d83ce36e8d7e14d65837146c1d39cd567207c42ac924","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"f22cecd665999b746dc9d83ce36e8d7e14d65837146c1d39cd567207c42ac924","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T00:56:04.611893Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T00:56:04.611893Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"Bt4y410fym62K7a2AyOjkSFmQ5gjHFs0MHJmDG/DlM42wdPdin2oGiXpegPVelqWcZauni4paV/FZAirAwFwBA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T00:56:04.612333Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2004.03654","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:c49312d6233f35cfd6063c085f260504328da49f70460f6716ee7e293a3d6471","sha256:9a64ac7a4c92c21cf70db01e973ef5e5b34ac2b9cf216ddfc37557b23d78b0e3"],"state_sha256":"27a90124b50570b6c7031d24432e96ee179b6b47d1c7fdfbd807d9f1db4486fc"}
