This is motivated by the recent block-sparse proportionate normalized least mean square (BS-PNLMS) algorithm. It is demonstrated that the affine projection algorithm (APA), proportionate APA (PAPA), BS-PNLMS and PNLMS are all special cases of the proposed BS-PAPA algorithm.
