Say that two subsets $x, y\\subseteq S_n$ are \\emph{equivalent} if there exist permutations $g_1, g_2\\in S_n$ such that $g_1xg_2=y$, where multiplication is understood elementwise. Recently, [Tripathi, 2024] and [Kushwaha and Triathi, 2025] asked for the asymptotics of $T(n,k)$, the number of subsets of $S_n$ of size $k$ up to this equivalence. It is easy to see that $T(n,0)=T(n, 1)=1$ and $T(n, 2)=p(n)-1$, where $p(n)$ is the number of integer partitions of $n$. In this work, we show that $T(n,k) = \\Lambda_n(k)(1+o_n(1))$ for $3\\leq k\\leq n!-3","authors_text":"Ludovick Bouthat, Raghavendra Tripathi","cross_cats":["math.PR"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2025-08-10T19:23:24Z","title":"Number of orbits of $k$-subsets of permutations"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2508.07463","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:c9844604bd78a57867f56fa4cc305a1efa7a217b9aac7b390ac826480dd0497f","target":"record","created_at":"2026-06-23T02:13:16Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"0a96cd98ba68c0db9ef6b1ac0a2a390e3ccfc6814eb8ba4983b9b376762232a5","cross_cats_sorted":["math.PR"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2025-08-10T19:23:24Z","title_canon_sha256":"6ab585aab4d3a24bdfbe3e51b9c04a097155a674ee048132ccaaed8e829862e2"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2508.07463","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"fac566272ce168b956e7d5b2c7fd102f18054f83c419814b9ac96681dfa2336c","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"fac566272ce168b956e7d5b2c7fd102f18054f83c419814b9ac96681dfa2336c","first_computed_at":"2026-06-23T02:13:16.298938Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-06-23T02:13:16.298938Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"I0ALdoAUmObAj46QGWihspRmOCZLGC69/tq0RDKctqABiYOBHytP2I2Z61GvuUwFPcek3cYHCAt2oJEPfdRlDg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-06-23T02:13:16.299386Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2508.07463","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:c9844604bd78a57867f56fa4cc305a1efa7a217b9aac7b390ac826480dd0497f","sha256:df6ebe531e746d7687f55ca930cba68dd60220cfb3e4b1c4b7ca657dcf6a3c82"],"state_sha256":"8d22be600fea561220f9526372cfb9c65acbce5cd728f277fe2e45a1c689bfc7"}
