Specifically, we calculate iteratively a few $\\bar{\\bar \\alpha}(z_k)$ polarizability tensors for a coarse set of $(z_k)$ frequencies in the complex-plane. These data allow constructing a continued-fraction representation for $\\bar{\\bar{\\alpha}}(z)$ that is used to calculate the absorption spectrum close to the real energy axis in the desired energy range.
