We construct a compartmental model that includes the risk of hospitalization and its impact on public health policies. The basic reproductive number, $\\mathcal{R}_0$, is computed, as well as a sensitivity analysis on $\\mathcal{R}_0$ parameters and discuss the relevance in public health policies. The local and global stability of the disease-free equilibrium is established.
