Analytical expressions are derived for the strain-dependent free-energy density and for the resistivity tensor for monoclinic and orthorhombic crystal symmetry, phenomenologically describing the magnetic anisotropy (MA) and anisotropic magnetoresistance (AMR) by appropriate anisotropy and resistivity parameters, respectively.
