A model based on inter-diffusion of quasiparticles and condensate at the interface yields a thickness of $\\sim$ 25 nm for the interfacial layer. Two-dimensional superconductivity of the interface layer appears to be governed by Kosterlitz-Thouless-Berezinskii transition.
