The wave functions are obtained by solving a light-front effective Hamiltonian that incorporates three-dimensional confinement along with a color-singlet Nambu--Jona-Lasinio interaction between the constituent quark and antiquark. The form factor $A(Q^2)$ is found to be in overall agreement with recent lattice QCD and dispersive results.
