After a pairing correction is introduced to the RPA results the flux-averaged theoretical $(\\nu_\\mu, \\mu^-), (\\nu_e, e^-)$ cross-sections and $\\mu^-$-capture rates in $^{12}$C are in good agreement with experiment.
