In this paper, we provide a current picture of the rapidly evolving quantum computing landscape by comparing four software platforms---Forest (pyQuil), Qiskit, ProjectQ, and the Quantum Developer Kit (Q\\#)---that enable researchers to use real and simulated quantum devices.
