Our measurements in the I$_C$ band revealed an average linear polarization of 1.60$\\pm$0.03\\% at position angle of 132.2\\degr. To distinguish between intrinsic and interstellar polarization, we also measured 86 field stars in the nova's vicinity, finding an average polarization of 1.25$\\pm$0.61\\% at a nearly identical position angle of 132\\degr.
