The method involves working with a pair $(A,{\\mathfrak a})$ consisting of a quasi-hereditary algebra $A$ and a (positively) graded subalgebra $\\mathfrak a$. The algebra $B$ arises as a quotient $B=A/J$ of $A$ by a defining ideal $J$ of $A$.
