In such models, the lighter of the mixed neutral scalars can become a viable dark matter candidate by imposing a U(1) symmetry. We find that the thermal WIMP scenario is consistent with the cosmological dark matter abundance when the mass of the scalar is half of that of the discovered Higgs boson or larger than around 100 GeV.
