We have investigated the superconducting properties of Re$_{8}$NbTa, a new noncentrosymmetric cubic ($\\alpha$-Mn structure) rhenium-based ternary superconductor using transport, magnetization, specific heat, and muon spin rotation/relaxation ($\\mu$SR) measurements.
