We equip $\\overline{2\\mathcal{M}}_{\\mathbf{n}}$ with a stratification by the 2-associahedron $W_{\\mathbf{n}}$, and prove that $\\overline{2\\mathcal{M}}_{\\mathbf{n}}$ is compact and metrizable.
