Simulation on isotropic Heisenberg spin-1/2 chain demonstrates that the BTMRG outperforms the conventional transfer-matrix renormalization group (TMRG) by successfully accessing far lower temperature unreachable by conventional TMRG, while retaining the same level of accuracy.
