Short-period white dwarf-brown dwarf binaries provide unique laboratories to probe substellar atmospheres. Tidal locking drives hot Jupiter-like atmospheric dynamics in the brown dwarf. The system's formation history offers a window into planetary systems around post-main-sequence stars.
