In particular, the ubiquity of mirror-image confusion in young children, which often persists in dyslexia, is established. However, the very existence of these symmetric mirror-images and their perceptual or memory nature remain controversial. Here, using the noise-activated afterimage method, we demonstrate that a dyslexic with mirror-images is an ideal candidate for solving the mystery. Indeed, after a monocular fixation, the primary afterimages are perceived ","authors_text":"Albert Le Floch, Guy Ropars","cross_cats":[],"headline":"","license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"physics.bio-ph","submitted_at":"2025-07-11T15:55:16Z","title":"Direct observation of the crossed interhemispheric transfer of the left-right mirror-images in human vision"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2507.08703","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:08aaf9fa33ffd5d0bf27a21eb2c6baaeaf5c3c927deda3000a308dab40140d1e","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T11:35:45Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"a29f769830419817f62172402802835a6d9ecf461b53ecac7940d2520f02dfcb","cross_cats_sorted":[],"license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"physics.bio-ph","submitted_at":"2025-07-11T15:55:16Z","title_canon_sha256":"dc2a29f8fdd40ed7b2502901fd7bef3e0de7bc758ce3e82169a2ae93d492a7f9"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2507.08703","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"22b84fee979002a2527ab65502d6216c5a95fe2de45ca668c20f18b84b2d63e3","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"22b84fee979002a2527ab65502d6216c5a95fe2de45ca668c20f18b84b2d63e3","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T11:35:45.170956Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T11:35:45.170956Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"ZTUtIZ0l+lBg9X2kfY4vAaF1RGO64pWyVQ76WNKbPyDzjox7N9cIr4z+PZdF/OdbXPab0/fl3SeGIl/mNrMMBQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T11:35:45.171406Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2507.08703","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:08aaf9fa33ffd5d0bf27a21eb2c6baaeaf5c3c927deda3000a308dab40140d1e","sha256:cedd7644212ebfb005766421f3796d06b695a5b2ff7725063c6ff00663fd8279"],"state_sha256":"4aed4534781fad93b15fc15b5e38632026c0e5418dfc8952afce7306e7860a12"}
