In this paper, we introduce a more general version of the slice rank of a tensor, which we call the Partition Rank. This allows us to extend the slice rank method to problems that require the variables to be distinct. Using the partition rank, we generalize a recent result of Ge and Shangguan, and prove that any set $A\\subset\\mathbb{F}_{q}^{n}$ of size \\[|A|>\\binom{n+(k-1)q}{(k-1)(q-1)}\\] contains a $k$-right-corner, that is distinct vectors $","authors_text":"Eric Naslund","cross_cats":["math.NT"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2017-01-16T22:20:51Z","title":"The Partition Rank of a Tensor and $k$-Right Corners in $\\mathbb{F}_{q}^{n}$"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"1701.04475","kind":"arxiv","version":3},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:da9ab86843095a4345692ece3c8b86df4f283de61fa8b53fefaad4b4d155436e","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T05:49:42Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"e1a3154aeaa0203e27caccc09183c5b622afdaca6cfa0e492633ac742035a547","cross_cats_sorted":["math.NT"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2017-01-16T22:20:51Z","title_canon_sha256":"5ed4e92ccb1e82beab177b0b89b0bf00958b08589de30e2b07cb4b08c683142e"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"1701.04475","kind":"arxiv","version":3}},"canonical_sha256":"24ac3b39f2025ffe5f820d10001ba2ce2ea6b1e89e7a8e09cd12a2beacbec13a","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"24ac3b39f2025ffe5f820d10001ba2ce2ea6b1e89e7a8e09cd12a2beacbec13a","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T05:49:42.061048Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T05:49:42.061048Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"TOME/LNN7STDOXwX/94Ug5FrQCmK9zDDPiEwznJ5Sd6SmPhVdqmO20mms1x2EkO62zb5BrIdU3QScS5eSggPDw==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T05:49:42.061482Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"1701.04475","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":3}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:da9ab86843095a4345692ece3c8b86df4f283de61fa8b53fefaad4b4d155436e","sha256:f0773056c6ade8b2288dec4c2c264830e6ea31ddb2c13628a3c62ed988318a03"],"state_sha256":"b80a4a03b21d6fd12a1169da0f9aadb5cf77b83df55609420734fa384a8dcf9f"}
