Our case in point is the Poincar\\'e duality theorem for Rabinowitz Floer homology. We prove that Rabinowitz Floer homology is a locally linearly compact vector space in the sense of Lefschetz, or, equivalently, a Tate vector space in the sense of Beilinson-Feigin-Mazur.
