This algorithm relies on explicit open image techniques for Galois representations, and we employ a combination of analytic and algebraic methods to efficiently prove or disprove the existence of isogenies. We illustrate the practicality of our algorithm by applying it to 1 440 894 isogeny classes of Jacobians of genus 2 curves.","authors_text":"Edgar Costa, Jean Kieffer, Raymond van Bommel, Shiva Chidambaram","cross_cats":["math.AG"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.NT","submitted_at":"2023-01-24T16:37:12Z","title":"Computing isogeny classes of typical principally polarized abelian surfaces over the rationals"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2301.10118","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:8ffecca16bffffe21fb6343817a8755d768e63e5dc95c2e7e0ff23c96499450e","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T06:34:46Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"4dad3868b92e18354c6f71b79e66656c3457d9d58f7e1b8015fdc6dfdd4b718c","cross_cats_sorted":["math.AG"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"math.NT","submitted_at":"2023-01-24T16:37:12Z","title_canon_sha256":"771ffd341b1d91a979cf8d537010d6a9717f5a8142857ffc8528c40ce6bc7c50"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2301.10118","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"2b9461256310dcb6a9b74d068b85fcb2eee6fbc4f0f3d0e09e23881882a4e50b","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"2b9461256310dcb6a9b74d068b85fcb2eee6fbc4f0f3d0e09e23881882a4e50b","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T06:34:46.983083Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T06:34:46.983083Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"KFMRMNkTNt+ZiD2RLDUqunZIJB6WhkEEMr5NzwUQoiAooiXc9Hui5Fjd+Xiz9rje3I7osooqLxImW9miI18VAA==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T06:34:46.983529Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2301.10118","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:8ffecca16bffffe21fb6343817a8755d768e63e5dc95c2e7e0ff23c96499450e","sha256:45dceeab643b694289d4fd20d1deeb0e55b6865da6e02b31801659a142a06d63"],"state_sha256":"ccd16343e9c7af72c6d348344e81667d25fb810ee8f819ea416b99da2ef6d29b"}
