It is done by making use of the conventional null-geodesic approach wherein the associated Hawking radiation is described as a quantum tunneling process across a classically forbidden barrier which the event horizon imposes. An interesting aspect of our result is that our estimate for the tunneling probability is independent of the non-Hermitian parameter that defines the guiding Hamiltonian.","authors_text":"Bijan Bagchi, Rahul Ghosh, Sauvik Sen","cross_cats":["cond-mat.other","hep-th","quant-ph"],"headline":"","license":"http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/","primary_cat":"gr-qc","submitted_at":"2023-04-27T13:23:32Z","title":"Analogue Hawking radiation as a tunneling in a two-level $\\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric system"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2304.14174","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:d3d8429f05a8a228dd3d2c127fa64648aa05810d9e2cbcfdf97ec57817eab5a6","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T06:41:16Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"8de610e5eed4e989920f4430cf48c38a639cc965afae6f50b725a30954cd24f4","cross_cats_sorted":["cond-mat.other","hep-th","quant-ph"],"license":"http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/","primary_cat":"gr-qc","submitted_at":"2023-04-27T13:23:32Z","title_canon_sha256":"f8e150c71eb6993871aa9047d32b1d4cb3be5dbe5c1fa664a1f1d6b88a4548b3"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2304.14174","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"36fcf195f58dda8d786b71c70d3da67e1930dcdf4a16846f52cb8af120d3afa3","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"36fcf195f58dda8d786b71c70d3da67e1930dcdf4a16846f52cb8af120d3afa3","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T06:41:16.377988Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T06:41:16.377988Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"TU22TyS0F9FSNdFwAHqiXYWsdVNeLlDXjKuQDsWiRwHf7nxtXMsZnYspyWjBwBW7ByT9fqhT6xPAKGge9puxBQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T06:41:16.378485Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2304.14174","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:d3d8429f05a8a228dd3d2c127fa64648aa05810d9e2cbcfdf97ec57817eab5a6","sha256:1558ad96b87539b34cf391eef33797e0d8fffac6d756b456eb1939968174ce6b"],"state_sha256":"53c3312518799b49feb4cd3bb22a62b03458f4c11a342194567409f18c6f7e54"}
