Polyakov loop in the temperature range 100 MeV $\\lesssim T\\lesssim$ 400 MeV is expressed via the heavy-light meson mass that decreases with $T$ as $\\sqrt{\\sigma (T)}$. The latter is deduced from a gradually vanishing chiral condensate.
