In this work, we show that in the dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) approach to strongly-correlated systems, it can actually be harnessed to our advantage. Indeed, DMFT maps a lattice model onto an impurity model, namely a finite system coupled to a dissipative bath. While standard approaches require a large number of high-quality qubits in a unitary context, we propose a circuit that harvests amplitude damping to reproduce the dynamics of this model with a blend of noisy and noiseless qubits. We find compelling advantages with thi","authors_text":"Corentin Bertrand, Michel Ferrero, Pauline Besserve, Thomas Ayral","cross_cats":["cond-mat.str-el"],"headline":"","license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"quant-ph","submitted_at":"2024-12-18T10:52:33Z","title":"Turning qubit noise into an advantage: Automatic state preparation and long-time dynamics for impurity models on quantum computers"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2412.13711","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:cdebba6d09e58999c01b0222b867aeee7171341825af9fdc96d852dc6f397794","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T11:46:20Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"8e3b2dac53cf41717e6bfb14a41e93721ae0d07c48b9554196a6f0b7eea9d161","cross_cats_sorted":["cond-mat.str-el"],"license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"quant-ph","submitted_at":"2024-12-18T10:52:33Z","title_canon_sha256":"72132f70e02514594f536cafc709f5dd30462fc49bdd68ae351df15d7a0798f1"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2412.13711","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"320b872d53d05450570a0ecc347618f6ac24c4406c991275deb0f04e6ebd6c5d","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"320b872d53d05450570a0ecc347618f6ac24c4406c991275deb0f04e6ebd6c5d","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T11:46:20.628717Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T11:46:20.628717Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"XA/tyz/Bvs1+pAxt9RHxnlNtbd5dQ5kIMHNV3+isJMw62CCB0t4hxveRPMckjl7e9Cy95rjEWAq3pDACJJAMAQ==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T11:46:20.629226Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2412.13711","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:cdebba6d09e58999c01b0222b867aeee7171341825af9fdc96d852dc6f397794","sha256:7317bd1e287cd8a4eb6ad6eb71e30152a8c8bb07a820cf7d4c340083273b9ea8"],"state_sha256":"f308d42091d46df5390faff877a0743193ff1e8726a08237f2a4d00f1bb1f5c6"}
