We show that if $\\mathbf{A}$ has a $k$-cube term and $\\mathbf{A}^k$ is finitely generated, then $d_\\mathbf{A}(n) \\in O(\\log(n))$ if $\\mathbf{A}$ is perfect and $d_\\mathbf{A}(n) \\in O(n)$ if $\\mathbf{A}$ is imperfect.
