This extension includes non--minimal couplings between torsion and matter. In particular, we construct two specific models that recover the usual continuity equation, namely, $f(T, \\mathcal{T})=T+g(\\mathcal{T})$ and $f(T, \\mathcal{T})=T\\times g(\\mathcal{T})$.
