The proof makes use of two Bellman functions $\\mathbb{L}$ and $\\mathbb{M}$ related to the problem, and relies on certain relationships between $\\mathbb{L}$ and $\\mathbb{M}$, as well as the boundary values of these functions, which we find explicitly.
