Under dimensional reduction the Kerr-Schild (KS) ansatz becomes the stringy Kerr-Schild (sKS) ansatz introduced by Wu. This ansatz captures many Kaluza-Klein black hole solutions, including single-charge black holes arising in both gauged and ungauged supergravity theories.
