Silicon prismanes or polysilaprismanes are the silicon nanotubes of a special type constructed from the dehydrogenated molecules of cyclosilanes (silicon rings). By means of density functional theory the electronic, geometry, energy, and some mechanical properties of these tubes were investigated.
