We elucidate the phase diagram for an effective model, the transverse-field Ising model on a frustrated checkerboard lattice, by using quantum Monte Carlo simulation. A crossover to liquidlike paraelectric state with well-developed molecular polarizations is identified, distinguishably from long-range ordering.
