Using mirror symmetry we establish that there are (possibly singular) elliptic or rational curves on any Calabi-Yau manifold $X$, whose mirror dual $\\check X$ exists and is not \"Hodge degenerate\", therefore proving that $X$ is Kobayashi non-hyperbolic.
