CARMA is a stochastic process algebra equipped with linguistic constructs specifically developed for modelling and programming systems that can operate in open-ended and unpredictable environments. This class of systems is typically composed of a huge number of interacting agents that dynamically adjust and combine their behaviour to achieve specific goals. A CARMA model, termed a collective, consists of a set of components, each of which exhibits a set of attribute","authors_text":"Diego Latella (ISTI-CNR), IMT Lucca), ISTI-CNR), Jane Hillston (University of Edinburgh), Luca Bortolussi (Saarland University, Michele Loreti (Universit\\`a di Firenze, Mieke Massink (ISTI-CNR), Rocco De Nicola (IMT Lucca), Stephen Gilmore (University of Edinburgh), University of Trieste, Vashti Galpin (University of Edinburgh)","cross_cats":["cs.DC","cs.PF"],"headline":"","license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cs.PL","submitted_at":"2015-09-29T02:10:19Z","title":"CARMA: Collective Adaptive Resource-sharing Markovian Agents"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"1509.08560","kind":"arxiv","version":1},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:160d80221d6d20183d45a0cfb42b97dc0c369f822ff57f39a65bb69cce0b2df5","target":"record","created_at":"2026-05-18T01:31:52Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"a142fed1be95790168998c37a5466e8b91b06da2070973fb7afa0d28c1fdfb68","cross_cats_sorted":["cs.DC","cs.PF"],"license":"http://arxiv.org/licenses/nonexclusive-distrib/1.0/","primary_cat":"cs.PL","submitted_at":"2015-09-29T02:10:19Z","title_canon_sha256":"52cf1237b68a76a5e368b58e4934f09b6a3ab977adfb9593afbfef88d8dcc416"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"1509.08560","kind":"arxiv","version":1}},"canonical_sha256":"4db65f687b3b49d7a45c1bb0f821a62d7a905e5c9ec05dcfd853f3445dd1a903","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"4db65f687b3b49d7a45c1bb0f821a62d7a905e5c9ec05dcfd853f3445dd1a903","first_computed_at":"2026-05-18T01:31:52.298715Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-05-18T01:31:52.298715Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"grvjPmpByQSuGXFvQQaX8ok8PANC68qO79nRVk2Y0B+Ntf0nuj1GT990p6SwpZa+geGXenQIkHD6s+aD1OhcCg==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-05-18T01:31:52.299291Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"1509.08560","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":1}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:160d80221d6d20183d45a0cfb42b97dc0c369f822ff57f39a65bb69cce0b2df5","sha256:728307bc4459f7e9deb8b94095f1c4fbe0783a6e9ccda52c2179c29b4716548e"],"state_sha256":"47ccb8b5650b6f3a3ce849a2bdca3033ea5937e236bdc8c038b726641983c8d0"}
