Considering the swimmer-tracer hydrodynamic interactions at low-Reynolds number and using a kinetic theory approach, it is shown that the induced diffusion coefficient is proportional to the swimmer concentration, their mean velocity and a coefficient $\\beta$, as observed experimentally.
