It is found that nonfactorizable contributions dominate over factorizable ones. Because of soft cancellation in pairs of nonfactorizable diagrams, the $\\Lambda_b \\rar \\Lambda J/\\psi$ decay is characterized by a large scale, such that perturbative QCD is applicable.
