CYCLADES is asynchronous during shared model updates, and requires no memory locking mechanisms, similar to HOGWILD!-type algorithms. Unlike HOGWILD!, CYCLADES introduces no conflicts during the parallel execution, and offers a black-box analysis for provable speedups across a large family of algorithms.
