Radio dispersion on each burst is imparted by intervening plasma mostly located in the intergalactic medium. We observe a burst, FRB 20220610A, in a morphologically complex host galaxy system at redshift $z=1.016 \\pm 0.002$. The burst redshift and dispersion are consistent with passage through a substantial column of material from the intergalactic medium.
