It is shown that they are continuous in $W^{k,p}({\\bf R}^m)$, $0\\leq k \\leq 2$, for $1<p<3$ but not for $p>3$ if $m=3$ and, for $1<p<m/2$ but not for $p>m/2$ if $m\\geq 5$. This extends the previously known interval of $p$ for the continuity, $3/2<p<3$ for $m=3$ and $m/(m-2)<p<m/2$ for $m\\geq 5$.
