The ratio $R_L=\\sigma_L^{\\pi^-}/\\sigma_L^{\\pi^+}$ is sensitive to isoscalar contamination to the dominant isovector pion exchange amplitude, which is the basis for the determination of the charged pion form factor from electroproduction data.
