As an application, we show that in any finite coloring of $\\mathbb{N}$ there is an infinite set $A$ and an as large as desired finite set $B$ with $(A+B)\\cup (AB)$ monochromatic, answering a question from a recent paper of Kra, Moreira, Richter, and Robertson. In fact, we prove an iterated version of this result that also generalizes a Ramsey theorem of Bergelson and Moreira that was previously only known to hold for fields. Our main new technique is an extension of the color focusing method that inv","authors_text":"Matt Bowen","cross_cats":[],"headline":"","license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2022-10-25T20:13:08Z","title":"Composite Ramsey theorems via trees"},"references":{"count":0,"internal_anchors":0,"resolved_work":0,"sample":[],"snapshot_sha256":"258153158e38e3291e3d48162225fcdb2d5a3ed65a07baac614ab91432fd4f57"},"source":{"id":"2210.14311","kind":"arxiv","version":2},"verdict":{"created_at":null,"id":null,"model_set":{},"one_line_summary":"","pipeline_version":null,"pith_extraction_headline":"","strongest_claim":"","weakest_assumption":""}},"verdict_id":null}}],"author_attestations":[],"timestamp_anchors":[],"storage_attestations":[],"citation_signatures":[],"replication_records":[],"corrections":[],"mirror_hints":[],"record_created":{"event_id":"sha256:804c83241627b0c77ab9e526dea57b38fc0114b8c9aca04d40a23b8690a20a27","target":"record","created_at":"2026-07-05T05:17:48Z","signer":{"key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","signer_id":"pith.science","signer_type":"pith_registry"},"payload":{"attestation_state":"computed","canonical_record":{"metadata":{"abstract_canon_sha256":"bf417b497e175fad11a3f9b9ae4dabf66201d3461125c85fc695cee8f9a62db7","cross_cats_sorted":[],"license":"http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","primary_cat":"math.CO","submitted_at":"2022-10-25T20:13:08Z","title_canon_sha256":"5aa8b2fd9ec1e67eb5120eea1296621142cc3926e1e0f39ecb182e40b91b5cd8"},"schema_version":"1.0","source":{"id":"2210.14311","kind":"arxiv","version":2}},"canonical_sha256":"62913cfdddd551eca92eed8012c24f85c00e878836c5bdbd04607fdaa68590ff","receipt":{"algorithm":"ed25519","builder_version":"pith-number-builder-2026-05-17-v1","canonical_sha256":"62913cfdddd551eca92eed8012c24f85c00e878836c5bdbd04607fdaa68590ff","first_computed_at":"2026-07-05T05:17:48.198069Z","key_id":"pith-v1-2026-05","kind":"pith_receipt","last_reissued_at":"2026-07-05T05:17:48.198069Z","public_key_fingerprint":"8d4b5ee74e4693bcd1df2446408b0d54","receipt_version":"0.3","signature_b64":"iYGWQRK4eVbSUJLmOrQx+F74bduG4itq3SVbJFr5EXpzRrNhxti78rV3KjzF1tgoxwblGaT/5F0fR5B5nIJXBw==","signature_status":"signed_v1","signed_at":"2026-07-05T05:17:48.198471Z","signed_message":"canonical_sha256_bytes"},"source_id":"2210.14311","source_kind":"arxiv","source_version":2}}},"equivocations":[],"invalid_events":[],"applied_event_ids":["sha256:804c83241627b0c77ab9e526dea57b38fc0114b8c9aca04d40a23b8690a20a27","sha256:43dc0dd545f0f34ae2360523f393afa3e011bb7d1dfbccd3eede0649673bf80c"],"state_sha256":"5051681678f265479a7b0ab23b334463817d6132d8c2ef13a4b9bd96600ff34b"}
